Had a ceiling job go sideways in a Bellevue condo last spring
I was working this high end condo in Bellevue, beautiful place but the ceiling had these weird tray details everywhere. The homeowner kept asking me to make it perfectly flat, no tape lines showing. After three days of mudding and sanding I finally got it right, but only because I switched to using a 12 inch knife for the final coat instead of my usual 10. Has anyone else found bigger knives make a difference on those tricky ceilings with lots of angles?

Doesn't a 12 inch knife just give you cleaner lines on those tricky angles?

Doesn't that longer blade make it harder to get clean cuts in tighter spots though?

Wait, didn't you always say a 10 inch was better for control before you tried the longer blade?
