Warning: I thought a 4-inch suction hose would be fine for a small job in Mobile, but my old 6-inch saved the day.

Honestly, we were just clearing a small silt basin behind a new build, maybe 200 cubic yards total. I figured the smaller hose on the dredge would be easier to handle and save fuel. Tbh, the 4-inch clogged three times in the first hour on some old tree roots. Switched back to the trusty 6-inch and it just powered through, finishing the job before lunch. Anyone else have a 'too small' tool story that bit them?
