Tried a graduated ruler tape on the ladder today, hot dang

Been fighting with guesswork on my dredge ladder depth for months, so I stuck a measuring tape right along the frame using zip ties before the morning run. It made reading cutting depth way easier while I was watching the gauges, no more leaning over to eyeball it. Anyone else rig up something simple like this that improved their day to day ops?
