Rant: My dredge pump gauge was lying to me for 2 months, cost me a Saturday in Biloxi

Kept seeing normal pressure readings but the output was weak, so I checked everything except the gauge itself. Turns out the bourdon tube was clogged with shell grit and showing 20 psi less than reality. Anyone else trust their gauges blindly or do you verify with a second one on site?

Honestly, my gauge's been lying to me for years, just in a different way. Tbh, I trust it about as much as I trust my truck's gas meter after a long night. Ngl, I've learned the hard way that a second gauge is cheaper than another Saturday lost to shell grit.
