Got stuck in that super fine silt on the lower Mississippi last week, thought I was done for.

The pump kept clogging every 20 minutes, and we were losing daylight. Out of pure frustration, I dropped the cutter head speed way down to about 15 rpm and throttled the suction way back. It felt wrong, but it let the slurry settle in the line without packing solid. We crawled out of there over 8 hours, but we got out. Anyone have a better method for that glue-like mud?

Heard about using a water jet to break it up first?

My buddy tried that on his patio and it just made a bigger mess.

Used to think a pressure washer was the answer for everything. Watched a neighbor turn a small crack into a full on river of mud in their driveway. Now I'm a firm believer in just getting the right tools for the job from the start.
