I finally stopped paying for that celebrity gossip subscription

I signed up for a $8 a month gossip app after seeing it blow up on TikTok, thinking I'd get the inside scoop on all the viral beefs. Turns out they were just reposting Twitter screenshots a day late, and I caught them three times with the same story I saw for free. Has anyone else noticed these paid drama sites are just recycling what you can already find in the comments?

Damn, my best friend fell for that exact same trap. She signed up for a "premium insider" newsletter and it was literally just screenshots of the main gossip subreddit with a filter on them.

Did you see that whole mess last month where one of those big gossip accounts got caught running a fake feud story just to get clicks? Same thing basically, they know people will pay for the feeling of being in the know even if it's all recycled. I canceled my one paid subscription after I realized half the posts were just screenshots from a free subreddit I already scroll through. It's wild how they bank on people being too lazy to dig around for twenty minutes. You're honestly better off just following the actual people involved, they post the drama themselves anyway.
