My old drafting table finally gave out after 15 years

Everyone says to upgrade to a digital setup, but I think you lose something with a screen. The arm on my manual table snapped last Tuesday while I was working on a site plan for a property in Greenville. Has anyone found a good place to get replacement parts for older units?

Ever try to fix a drafting table with duct tape and hope? I'm on day three of that plan. Might have better luck searching for parts on those old industrial surplus sites.

Found a 1970s Mayline gear assembly on SurplusRecord last year, took two weeks to ship but worked perfectly.

My buddy had a similar find like @the_mia, but his story went sideways. He bought an old power feed unit off some auction site, thing looked great in the pics. Showed up and it was packed in literal newspaper from 1998, all the grease had dried into cement. Took him a month of soaking parts in solvent just to get it to move. Those surplus deals are a total gamble sometimes.
