Just blew $80 on a 'precision' drafting template that was totally off

I bought it online for a detail drawing last week, and the 1/8 inch scale was actually 3/32. Had to redo two hours of work on a client's foundation plan. Anyone know a brand that actually checks their manufacturing?

Two hours on a foundation plan? That's rough but maybe a double check with a known ruler first would've saved the headache. Precision tools from anywhere can be a gamble these days. You'd think for eighty bucks they'd get the scale right though.

Right? My new one was off by a FULL inch.
