I finally switched from manual drafting to full CAD after 12 years of stubbornness
My old boss kept saying 'hand-drawn is faster for revisions' but last month I timed myself on a 3-story commercial reno in Austin - CAD took 40 minutes vs. 3 hours by hand. Has anyone else noticed a massive jump in speed after making the switch?

40 minutes versus 3 hours is a no brainer. I did the same switch a few years back and my revision time dropped like crazy. The undo button alone saves me hours of erasing and redrawing by hand. Your boss was wrong about hand drafting being faster.

Exactly! My buddy Mark was a huge hand drafting holdout and swore it was faster until his firm made him switch for a big project. @anna_ross19 hit the nail on the head - that undo button is a GAME CHANGER. He spent THREE WEEKS redoing a whole set of floor plans by hand after a client changed their mind. Now he tells everyone digital is way better because you can try things out and NOTHING is permanent. He still loves sketching concepts on paper but says the actual drafting part is SO much faster on a computer. Your boss probably just never had to fix a mistake on 50 sheets of paper at 2AM.
