Did you ever try logging every session by the minute to see where your time actually went?

you said two years but how much of that was actually spent drafting versus reworking old stuff? 500 is a lot but i'm wondering if you count revisions and new projects the same way. i've been tracking my own output and realized i was double counting stuff that wasn't really new designs. did you break it down by month or just look at the total number? feels like the pace matters more than the raw count if you ask me.

Grace, you're asking the real questions here. I've been in that same boat where I thought I was cranking out work but half of it was just moving lines around on something from last year. It's way too easy to pat yourself on the back for a number when you haven't actually started anything fresh. I started tracking by month with a simple notebook, just new designs in one column and revisions in another, and it opened my eyes to how much time I was spending spinning my wheels on old stuff. The pace tells you more than the pile ever will, that's for sure. @gracewebb you are not alone in that double counting trap, it happens to the best of us.
