Can we talk about setting up template files for new projects?

I began creating standard templates with all my usual layers and styles. It saves me hours on each job because I don't have to start from scratch every time.

I used to just wing it with every new file, but templates totally flipped how I work. Grace Hernandez brought up the messy folder issue, which I fixed by adding dates to my template filenames, like "social-square-2024." Now my most recent versions are always at the top and I'm not guessing which one is current.

Figure out how you organize multiple templates for different project types, like @the_mia's logo one. I've got separate files for web banners and social posts, but my folder is getting messy. What's your system for keeping them all straight and ready to go?

Creating those template files with your go-to layers is such a game changer. I have one for logos that has all my swatch groups and layer comps ready to roll. It cuts out so much busy work (you know, the boring setup stuff) and lets me jump right into the fun part. Seriously, once you get your templates dialed in, it feels like cheating on every new project.
