Tried metric wrenches for the first time on a plumbing job and wow

Honestly, I've been using SAE wrenches my whole life because that's what my dad used. Last week I had to swap out a shower valve in a house built in 2005 near Denver. The nut was 15mm and my adjustable kept slipping. I grabbed a set of metric gear wrenches for $22 at Ace and it fit perfect first try. No rounding, no cussing, no trips back to the store. Has anyone else made the switch and found it way less frustrating?

Hold on man, it's just a wrench. I get that it worked great and all, but swapping out a tool isn't some huge life change. You probably could've saved the $22 and just borrowed a friend's metric set for that one job.

Nah man, i feel you on the cost part, but sometimes a tool just kinda clicks with you and that peace of mind is worth the $22. Not everything has to be a huge life overhaul.
