The big box store lumber guy laughed at my pick, now I measure EVERYTHING twice

Was at the Home Depot in Tacoma last Saturday grabbing 2x4s for a shed. Guy stocking lumber saw me holding one and said 'you know that's twisted, right?' I didn't see it until he showed me. Laid three on the floor and two had a bow you could see from across the aisle. I used to just grab and go. Now I spend 15 minutes picking boards every trip. Has anyone else had a store employee actually save them from a bad buy?
