Showerthought: My old kitchen light switch was in the wrong spot for 3 years

Last week I finally rewired the switch for the main kitchen light from the back wall to the doorway. It only took about an hour with some 14/2 wire and a new single-gang box, but now I don't have to walk across the dark room to turn the light on. Has anyone else moved a switch to a more logical place and been shocked they waited so long?

I always thought it was too much work but it's totally worth it.

Had a buddy who put off fixing his garage door sensor for two years. Literally took him 20 minutes once he actually looked at it. @skylerp31 nailed it, the dread is way worse than the actual job.

My buddy had the same thing with his basement light, the switch was behind the furnace. He finally moved it last month and said he felt like a genius for such a simple fix. Totally get what @skylerp31 means about it seeming like a big job, but it's really not once you start. The hardest part for him was just convincing himself to do it after all that time walking into a dark corner.
