Fancy $50 caulk gun was a total waste in my bathroom reno

Bought that expensive dripless caulk gun for my bathroom tub surround, thinking it'd save me a huge mess. Ended up clogging halfway through the first bead and I had to toss it and finish with a $3 throwaway from the hardware store. Anyone else find those pricey guns just don't work as advertised?

Nah, I've had great luck with mine once I learned to clean it properly after each use.

That "once I learned to clean it properly" part hits close to home lol. I definitely went through a phase where I thought wiping it down once was enough. Spoiler alert, it wasn't. @patriciareed you're not wrong though, a good cleaning routine makes all the difference. I learned that the hard way after a few sticky situations that taught me to never skip the deep clean. Now I treat my gear like it's a high maintenance pet.
