Was totally against coworking spaces until I tried one in Chiang Mai

I always thought they were just overpriced coffee shops with bad wifi. Then last month I paid $150 for a month pass at Punspace and my productivity actually went up like 40%. Anyone else have a change of heart about coworking spots?

My old coworking spot in Austin had this one guy who brought his pet parrot every single day (it was actually pretty chill, just sat on his shoulder). But yeah, I totally get the Chiang Mai thing - something about being in a different country with other people working just clicks differently.

The parrot guy sounds legendary honestly. I think there's something about having that one weird constant in a space that makes it feel more like a community than just a room with desks. It's the small quirks and shared routines that build that coworking vibe in a way fancy chairs and free kombucha never can.
