TIL my 'quiet' Airbnb was next to a rooster farm

Woke up at 4 AM to crowing every day this week. How do you vet places for noise issues before booking?

Yikes, that sounds like a horrible way to start the day. I saw a tip online about using satellite view on maps to spot things like farms or highways close by. You gotta dig through reviews and search for "noise" or "rooster" because past guests often spill the beans. Honestly, some hosts won't mention it until you're there with a front row seat to the dawn chorus. Better luck next time, maybe earplugs should be your first packing item.

Friend thought he was in a petting zoo, @alicejones. Front row seat is right.

Ugh, that's the worst. Isn't it crazy how some places hide the noise until you're stuck there?
