My laptop charger died in a Chiang Mai cafe last Tuesday
I mean, it just stopped working while I was trying to finish a client report, and the nearest shop with a replacement for my Dell XPS was a 45-minute Grab ride away. I had to pack up and basically lose a whole workday just dealing with it. Has anyone found a good universal charger they trust for bouncing around Asia?

My Anker 65W GaN charger has been a lifesaver. It's tiny, works with my phone and laptop, and I've used it in cafes from Ho Chi Minh City to Taipei without a hiccup. The universal plug tips are a must.

Honestly, that sounds like a planning issue more than a gear problem. I always carry a spare charger in my bag, the cheap one from Amazon has saved me in Bangkok and Hanoi. A 45 minute trip is just part of the deal when you're working remotely from here, you've got to build that buffer time into your schedule. Relying on a single charger, especially for a finicky laptop like an XPS, is just asking for a bad day.

Relying on a single charger" used to be my move until a dead battery in Manila proved your point.
