Just realized my whole work setup changed because of a power cut in Chiang Mai

I was working from a cafe on Nimman Road about two years ago when the whole block lost power for six hours. My laptop died, my portable battery was low, and I had a deadline. I ended up finishing the work longhand in a notebook and dictating the final email to a friend later. Now I always carry a paper notebook and a massive 30,000mAh power bank, no matter how light I'm trying to pack. Anyone else have a 'never again' moment that made you change your gear for good?
