Just read that over 40% of digital nomads stay in a place for less than a month
I was looking at a survey from a remote work blog yesterday, and that number really surprised me. I've been in Lisbon for almost three months, which I thought was pretty normal. The report said most people move that fast to avoid visa issues or just to see more. It made me wonder if I'm missing out by staying put longer. Do you guys usually move that quickly, or do you prefer to settle in for a bit?

Moving that fast just burns me out, I need at least three months to feel settled anywhere.

Moving that fast sounds like a great way to never make a real friend or learn a local grocery store. You end up just hanging out with other nomads in the same bubble. Staying longer lets you see past the tourist stuff and catch the real rhythm of a place, like how the city changes on a normal Tuesday. That survey might be counting people who are just on a long vacation, not actually trying to build any kind of life.
