Just noticed a huge difference in coworking spaces after leaving Bali
I spent 6 months in Ubud coworking spaces and thought the constant social noise was just part of the deal. Then I moved to Chiang Mai for 3 months and found a quiet spot where people actually got work done instead of networking all day. Has anyone else seen this kind of shift between popular nomad hubs, or was it just my bad luck in Bali?

Oh man, this totally clicked for me. I found a quiet spot in Chiang Mai where everyone just plugged in and got to work, it was night and day from Bali for sure. Your mileage may vary but that shift you noticed sounds like the real deal, not bad luck.

Tbh Balinese coworking spaces are half networking events dressed up as offices. Walked into one near Ubud and within 5 minutes three different people tried to pitch me their "digital wellness startup." Chiang Mai you can actually get 4 hours of deep work in before noon without someone interrupting your flow. The vibe difference is real.

Wait, you're telling me people in Bali coworking spaces are just socializing all day instead of working? That sounds insane. I figured the whole point of those places was to get stuff done, not turn it into a cocktail party.
