Hot take: Working from a beach cafe is way worse than a co-working space

I tried the whole 'work from a cafe with my feet in the sand' thing in Bali for two weeks. The glare on my screen was awful, the Wi-Fi dropped every ten minutes, and I spent more on drinks than a co-working space pass. I moved to a proper co-working spot in Ubud and got three times as much done in a single morning. Anyone else find the whole beach work setup is just for photos?

Ever tried a matte screen protector? It cuts the glare so you can actually see your work.

Yeah that "cuts the glare" thing is a total game changer. I got one last year and it's wild how much less my eyes strain now, especially near a window. The texture takes a minute to get used to, but you stop noticing it fast. Honestly the only downside is it makes the screen look a tiny bit grainy, but that's a fair trade for actually seeing stuff.

Grainy text is a deal breaker for me.
