Hot take: coworking spaces in Chiang Mai are way overpriced now

I went to Punspace last Tuesday and they wanted $150 for a monthly pass - that's insane when I can get a private table at a local coffee shop for $2 a day. Anyone found a decent spot under $100 a month around Nimman?

Yeah, $150 a month is absolutely ridiculous for a coworking space. I totally get why you'd call it overpriced, it feels like they're just banking on the "digital nomad" hype now. I bet you could find a quiet corner at a place like Ristr8to or even the library for way less, maybe check out some of the smaller cafes off the main drag like Rustic and Blue. It sucks when something that used to be a good deal just isn't worth it anymore.

Check out the coworking spot over on Jl. Goutama, @brown.gavin. It's like $80 a month and way less crowded than the main strip places. Also, the library near Ubud Market has free wifi that's actually solid if you don't mind the occasional tourist noise.

Can you really not find a quiet spot to work for free in Ubud though?
