Coworking vs coffee shop debate hit me hard in Medellin

I spent 3 weeks working from coffee shops in Medellin last month and saved $200, but my internet dropped 4 times during client calls. Now I'm torn between paying $150 a month for a proper coworking spot or sticking with $3 cafe lattes and spotty wifi. Has anyone else found a middle ground that actually works?

Funny you mention that @hunt.quinn because I actually used to be team coffee shop all the way, thought coworking was a waste. Then I spent a week in Buenos Aires where every cafe had that exact spotty wifi issue and I totally changed my mind. The hostel day pass thing is a solid middle ground honestly - I found one in Mexico City that charged $10 for the day with solid internet and free coffee. Your mileage may vary depending on the city but it's worth checking a few hostels before committing to a monthly coworking membership. Medellin has a ton of digital nomad hostels that might have that option. Just make sure the internet speed matches your needs because some hostels skimp on that too.

Did you check if any hostels have decent coworking spaces included with a day pass?
