After 6 months in Thailand, coworking spaces vs cafes wasn't even close

I tried working from cafes in Chiang Mai for the first month and my battery died by 2pm every day. Switched to a coworking space for $150 a month and suddenly I had stable WiFi and a desk that didn't hurt my back. Has anyone else found that the extra cost is totally worth it?

Did you try different cafes? I found that picking ones with proper outlets and asking for a table near the router made a huge difference. I spent 3 months hopping between coffee shops in Bangkok and only had a dead battery maybe twice. Plus I saved enough to cover my meals just from skipping the coworking membership.

3 months in Bangkok coffee shops? How many did you actually try before you found a solid rotation that worked with the outlets and signal?

Man oh man, this takes me back. I had a buddy who spent a whole month working from just two different places in Bangkok, he swore by this one spot that had outlets every other table but the signal was trash in the back corner. After like ten tries he finally found his groove, and yeah @jessica_hall49 hit the nail on the head, he said asking for the table near the router was a game changer for him.
