A chat in a Lisbon cafe made me stop chasing cheap flights

I met a guy named Marco there last month who's been working from the road for eight years. He said he picks one city for at least three months now, because moving every few weeks for a 'deal' just burns him out and he never gets good work done. I'd been hopping countries every other week trying to save money, but hearing that from someone with so much time in made me rethink my whole plan. What's the shortest stay you all think is still productive for getting into a work groove?

Marco's three months sounds long, but hey @rileyp49, is a month really that bad for finding a work groove?

How long did it take you to feel that burnout? I tried the constant move thing for a month last year and was a wreck. For me, anything less than six weeks is just unpacking and panic. Marco's three month rule sounds pretty smart.
