Synthetic vs conventional oil in my Cummins, night and day difference
Ran Rotella T4 for 80k miles then switched to T6 synthetic, my oil analysis came back way cleaner and it starts easier in the Montana cold snaps. Anyone else notice better fuel economy after the switch or am I just fooling myself?

Funny you mention fuel economy, I saw about half a mpg bump on my old 5.9 when I made the same switch. Probably not the oil alone, could be the colder weather or my driving, but the oil analysis was the real seller for me. The T6 held up way better on the wear metals, especially in the winter months when the truck sat overnight. Worth the extra cost if you're keeping the truck long term.
