Setting up my home shop and stuck on the lift question.
I've been saving for a garage lift to handle diesel truck repairs. Some guys swear by having a permanent two-post for easy access, but others say a good set of jack stands and a crane is smarter for the money. I'm leaning towards the lift for big jobs like transmission swaps. What do you all think?

Two-post lift or forever crawl under that truck.

Oh man, you are so right about that. I spent years sliding around on my back doing oil changes on my old pickup. Getting a two-post lift changed everything for me, no more sore knees or dirty clothes. It turns a awful job into something you can actually enjoy, or at least not hate. Once you go lift, you never go back to crawling.

Helped my buddy put in a BendPak two-post last year. We dropped the transmission on his F-250 the next weekend and it was just another job, not a fight.
