Just realized a little ATF in the diesel fuel tank can clean injectors on an old 7.3 Powerstroke without pulling them
Had a rough idle on my 97 F-250 after letting it sit for 6 months, tried a few fuel additives with no luck, but a buddy told me to dump half a quart of ATF in a full tank and run it hard for 30 miles and it smoothed right out, anyone else tried this on a high mileage motor or am I asking for trouble?

My 96 7.3 had 280k miles and ATF cleaned it up way better than any store bought additive ever did.

bro i did the same thing on my old 6.0 and felt like a genius till i realized i probably just thinned out the oil too much and hoped for the best 😂 but hey it ran better so who cares right
