Just Learned 6.0 Powerstroke Oil Coolers Fail Way Earlier Than I Thought

I was reading through some old service bulletins last night and found out that the 6.0 Powerstroke oil coolers start plugging up around 60k to 80k miles way more often than Ford admitted. The stat that got me is that coolant flow drops by almost 40% before you even see a temp spike on the gauge. I always thought you had a bit more time before things got bad but apparently by 100k miles a ton of these trucks are already running hot. I pulled the data from a Ford TSB from 2006 that had a graph showing failure rates. Has anyone else caught this early or am I just late to the party?

Trust the data on that TSB, I remember seeing those flow numbers and thinking no way, but its legit once the passages start clogging from casting sand or just age. Catch it early by monitoring your coolant delta with a scan tool, the gauge is basically useless for real temp changes. You on a stock cooler still or have you already upgraded to something like an external setup?
