Came across a stat about injector failure rates that blew my mind

I was reading through a tech bulletin from Bosch last night and found out over 60% of injector failures come from contaminated fuel, not wear and tear. That surprised me because I always figured high mileage was the main killer. Has anyone else run into a stat that completely changed how you approach maintenance?

That stat lines up with what I've seen working on my own truck. Swapped a set of injectors at 180k miles and they still looked clean, but a buddy's set failed at 60k because he got a bad tank of diesel somewhere. Now I'm way more picky about where I fill up and always run an extra filter.

That 60k failure on your buddy's truck, did you ever figure out which station or brand the bad fuel came from? I've had to replace a set myself and it sucks.
