That "alternate ending" for The Shining on streaming is just a fan edit with terrible audio
I watched it last week and the voice dubbing is so bad it sounds like a high school project. Has anyone found a legit deleted scene from Kubrick that's actually worth watching?

nah the fan edit actually works better than the real deleted scenes cause Kubrick literally scraped them for a reason. the only legit one thats kinda cool is the alternate ending with Ullman visiting Danny in the hospital but even that feels like it kills the whole vibe of the movie.

the hospital scene totally makes sense as a tonal shift but yeah it kills the whole eerie feeling Kubrick built up. i actually showed that alternate ending to my friend who had never seen the movie and he was so confused lmao. the fan edit i like best is the one that puts back the bathroom scene with Grady, it adds so much more creepy context even if Kubrick cut it for pacing.
