Just hit 127 deleted scenes saved on my hard drive
Was organizing my movie folders yesterday and noticed I have 127 deleted scenes from different movies. Didn't even realize it was that many. Most are from horror films and 90s comedies. The weirdest one is a 12 minute alternate ending for The Ring where she crawls out of a TV in a Best Buy. Has anyone else randomly counted how many they've collected?

Read somewhere that deleted scenes from horror movies are basically the directors' unhinged shower thoughts made real. That Best Buy ending for The Ring feels like someone dared the editor to make it as ridiculous as possible. I saw a breakdown of all the cut scenes from The Shining once and it actually made the hotel feel way more haunted. Your collection sounds like a goldmine for rewatching movies with fresh eyes.

lol "unhinged shower thoughts" is the most accurate description of horror deleted scenes I've ever heard. My own collection is honestly a mess, I've got a hard drive labeled "spooky outtakes" that's probably 90% nonsense and 10% gold. That Best Buy ending for The Ring is genuinely hilarious though, like someone at the studio was like "but what if she just, you know, pops up in a store?

honestly i used to think deleted scenes were just pointless filler but now i kinda see the value in them after finding some that totally change the movie's vibe. that best buy ending sounds wild, lowkey want to see it
