Had to choose between the extended ending and the deleted restaurant scene in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Picked the extended ending because I figured more time with the characters was better, but now I feel like the restaurant scene with Cliff and the hippies would have added way more tension. Anyone else regret picking the wrong bonus feature on their first watch?

Honestly just rewatch it and pick the other one next time, I've done that with a few movies. The extended ending is cool but it really drags on with that whole sequence on the ranch, you kinda see what's coming. Meanwhile the restaurant scene plays way more into the movie's whole vibe of tension and that weird hangout energy Tarantino does so well. Next time just go with your gut about what adds more to the story rather than thinking more time equals better.

Nah but you're actually spot on about the ranch sequence dragging. I've seen that extended version twice now and both times I was just waiting for it to wrap up. The restaurant scene hits different man, it's got that whole nervous edge to it that makes the movie work. Plus the pacing just feels tighter with the theatrical cut, like every scene actually matters instead of just padding out the runtime. Extended cuts are a trap sometimes honestly.
