Found an alternate ending for The Mist on YouTube last night...
It was totally different from the theatrical cut, way more hopeful actually. I spent like an hour reading the comments and seeing how everyone else reacted to it. Has anyone else stumbled onto a deleted scene that completely changed your view of a movie?

Wait was it the one where they actually show what's on the other side of the barrier or the one with the rescue team coming through? I've only seen the downer ending, kinda curious if the alternate one would have made the whole thing feel less pointless.

Oh man YES! That's the one with the rescue team coming through the barrier. I saw that version first and honestly it hit different. Like yeah it was still bleak but at least there was some kind of closure instead of just... nothing. The downer ending just left me staring at the credits like "wait that's it?" I get why they changed it but man the alternate version at least makes you feel like some of them made it.
