Found a deleted scene from Blade Runner 2049 that changes a major character's motivation
I was scrolling through YouTube last night and stumbled across an extended cut of the scene where Deckard meets his daughter. In the theatrical version she looks nervous but in this deleted take she straight up cries and admits she's been avoiding him her whole life because she blamed him for her mother dying. Did finding that extra footage shift how you viewed the movie or am I overthinking a small moment?

Man, nothing says emotional depth like crying over daddy issues with a replicant.

Hold up though, that's not exactly what the movie's about. Deckard doesn't have daddy issues with Roy, they're enemies for most of it until the very end. The whole point of Roy saving him is that he's evolved past hatred and just wants someone to witness his life before it's over. That rooftop monologue is about all the amazing things he's seen, not some messed up family drama. Isn't it more about what makes us human than dad problems?
