Debate: Do deleted scenes ever ruin a movie's magic or do they just add to the fun? I'm torn
Last week I watched the alternate ending for 'Get Out' on YouTube (the one where Chris goes to jail instead of escaping). It totally changed the vibe for me, I actually preferred the darker take. But my buddy said the original ending gave him closure and the deleted one would have tanked the whole movie. I found like 4 minutes of bloopers from 'The Office' that made me laugh harder than the show ever did. So which side are you on: do deleted scenes make a movie better or do they mess with the perfect version we already got?

honestly i think deleted scenes are just extra content that doesnt hurt anyone. the movie we got is the one the director wanted us to see, so thats the finished product. but finding those scenes later feels like a bonus level in a video game. the alternate ending for Get Out was solid but i get why they cut it, the original gives you that win feeling. bloopers from The Office are gold tho, those are just pure fun and dont change the story at all. i say watch em all if you want, the magic of the movie stays intact either way

Read something once where a film editor said deleted scenes are basically "the movie's garage sale" - stuff that just didn't fit the house. @sam_murphy39 that bonus level analogy nails it, especially for comedies where bloopers are just extra laughs that don't mess with the story's flow.
