Bought a 4K streaming box just for a deleted scene, ended up watching a 2-hour ad first
Last month I shelled out $79 for a refurbished Roku Ultra just to find that 12-minute alternate ending of that horror movie everyone's been posting clips of, and the stupid thing forced me through a 45-second Hulu ad before I could even search, so has anyone else paid real cash just to chase a single scene and then felt like the platform was mocking you the whole time?

Man, that is brutal. You paid real money just to get to the good part and the thing makes you sit through an ad first? That's like buying a ticket to a movie and having to watch a trailer for the same movie you're about to see before they let you in. I've definitely done the whole "spend way too much on a gadget for one tiny thing" move before, so I feel your pain on a deep level. At least you got the scene in the end, but yeah, the whole setup feels like it's laughing at you the entire time. Hopefully that alternate ending was actually worth all the hassle, because if it wasn't, I'd be tempted to throw the box in a drawer and pretend it never happened.
