Someone screen-capped a post that got nuked within 30 minutes from a small hobby sub. The OP was defending a mod who made a bad call, but the tone was harsh. Everyone here was dunking on them. I thought the OP was right, even if the delivery sucked. Saved the screenshot, reposted it with context, and people actually switched sides after seeing the whole thread. Anyone else had a deleted post that was right despite being messy?

Is the real lesson here that we're all way too quick to judge based on tone instead of facts, even when the facts are staring us in the face? The roast got deleted because it hurt feelings, but the actual argument survived because it had receipts behind the harsh words. Maybe messy posts that get nuked are just the only ones honest enough to skip the sugarcoating, and that's why they hit harder once people see the full picture.
