The deleted post about that viral cake fail was actually a paid ad the whole time

I saw the screenshots of that bakery's melted wedding cake go viral last Tuesday and shared them everywhere, then 2 weeks later found out the whole thing was a sponsored stunt by a frosting brand and now I can't trust any deleted drama I repost, how do you guys verify stuff before you archive it?
