That time my cousin insisted I back up a deleted Reddit thread and I laughed it off

About 6 months ago, my cousin Mark saw a wild thread on r/relationships about a wedding gone wrong. He told me to screenshot the whole thing because it was getting crazy traction and would probably get deleted. I was like 'nah, it'll stay up, that stuff always does.' Well, two hours later it was gone. The OP deleted their account and everything. Mark was so smug about it because he used to mod a few big subs and knows how fast drama gets scrubbed. Now I literally screenshot every juicy post I see, even if it's just a funny comment chain. Has anyone else lost a good thread because you figured it would stick around?

Mark called me out the same way after I lost a hilarious AITA thread about a pineapple pizza wedding cake.

Wait, @avery_lopez, are you talking about the one where the OP made a three-layer cake with Hawaiian pizza filling between the tiers? I remember that thread, it had like 2,000 comments before it got locked. The pineapple pizza cake thing was a MESS but honestly I thought you made some valid points about food traditions before Mark chimed in.
