Turned on 2FA for my email after a weird login alert from a hotel in Dallas, and it saved me a week later
I got a login alert from Dallas back in March and I was actually at home in bed, so I finally turned on two-step verification for my email. Took me maybe 10 minutes to set up the app and print the backup codes, which I stuck in a drawer. A week later someone tried to get in from overseas and the codes stopped them cold, my inbox stayed clean. My only regret is not doing it sooner for my bank and Amazon too. Anyone got a good way to keep track of all these backup codes without just leaving them in a drawer?
