Tried a password manager everyone raves about, got locked out for 3 days

I went with Bitwarden after hearing nothing but good things from this community. Set it up on my phone and PC, felt good for about a week. Then the master password failed twice and locked me out completely for 72 hours, no way to reset without losing everything. Has anyone else had a similar wall with a "secure" tool that left you stranded?

3 days locked out? I'd lose my mind. That's brutal. Password managers should have a safety net, some kind of recovery option. Like a backup code or a trusted device. Just locking you out with no way back in is crazy dangerous. What if you needed something important urgently?

Totally agree with you on this. "Locked out with no way back in" is exactly the nightmare scenario. I had a similar scare once and it's just pure panic when you realize you can't get to your own stuff. These apps need to have some kind of emergency backup, like a text code or a printed sheet of backup codes. It's wild that they can just shut you out completely. We all have bank logins, medical stuff, work accounts in there. One glitch and you're stuck for days. It's like they forgot that real life happens and people might mess up their password once.
