My neighbor's Wi-Fi name went from 'FBI Surveillance Van' to 'PleaseStopHackingMe' in 24 hours

He left his router on the default admin password and someone actually got in, changed his network name as a joke. He called me panicking, thinking it was real. Anyone else had a friend learn the hard way about router security?

Heard a tech guy say default passwords are public info online, like in manuals anyone can find. That means bots are just scanning for routers still using admin and password. Changing it is the first thing you should do, before you even connect your own devices. Honestly, it's scary how easy it is for them to get in if you don't. My cousin's smart lights got messed with that way, it was a whole thing.
