My 2FA app glitched and locked me out of my bank account for 3 days
Last Thursday my authenticator app just randomly reset itself after an update. I tried to log into my Chase account and the code was wrong every time. Had to call their support line in Omaha and sit on hold for 45 minutes before they could verify my identity through backup questions. Anyone else have a 2FA tool fail on them at the worst possible time?

Wait does Omaha have a special bank call center or something? Seems like every time I hear a bank horror story its always some random city like Omaha or Des Moines. Makes you wonder if they put the least helpful people there on purpose. I had my Google Authenticator die on me right before a big wire transfer for a house closing. That was like 2 hours on the phone and three different reps before someone believed I was actually me. Backup codes saved my butt eventually but I definitely printed them out and put them in a fireproof safe after that.

Ugh, Omaha of all places! I cannot believe they had you on hold that long just to prove who you are. That sounds like a complete nightmare. My husband would have lost his mind if the bank codes stopped working. It makes me want to double check my backup codes right now. Did they at least apologize for the wait?
