Free VPNs have to make money somehow, right? They probably sell data or show ads, which can look weird to your bank. It's like getting mad at a free lunch, you can't expect top quality security for nothing. The real problem is banks having such tight security that a simple IP change locks your account. Maybe they should fix their own systems instead of blaming people for trying to save a few bucks.

Yeah, the "free lunch" thing is spot on, but I wonder if some banks actually use VPN detection as a cheap way to cut fraud investigation costs.
