I thought password managers were a scam until I got locked out of my bank account

A few months ago I was dead set against paying for a password manager, figured I could just remember everything or use my browser's built in stuff. Then I forgot the password to my main bank account and the recovery process took 3 days and a trip to the branch. I finally caved and paid $40 a year for Bitwarden, and honestly it saved me from that nightmare again. Has anyone else had a close call that made them change their mind about a security tool?

YES, that "trip to the branch" part is EXACTLY what got me too. I had an eBay password crisis that had me locked out of my PayPal account for a whole weekend trying to guess what I'd set it to back in 2019. After that I was done. I switched to Bitwarden too and now I sleep easy knowing I don't have to remember 50 different passwords. It sounds dramatic but it's like a weight off your shoulders once you set it all up.

Switched to a password manager last year and it changed everything for me too.
