I finally get why people use password managers now

I used to think password managers were overkill. Like just write down your passwords in a notebook right? But last month my buddy Mark who works IT at a hospital showed me how he almost got his bank account drained because he reused a password from some old forum. He said one breach can expose everything if you reuse passwords. I watched him set up Bitwarden in like 5 minutes and saw how it generates random passwords for every site. Now I'm halfway through switching all my accounts. Did you all have a hard time convincing friends to switch?

My last password was Password123 and I'm not proud of that.

My last password was something like "dogsrule" for way too long. I only changed it after my brother guessed it in one try and logged into my Netflix. Password123 is rough but at least you're owning up to it now.

lol "dogsrule" is honestly better than Password123 tho. But yeah, having your bro guess it in one try is a wakeup call. What worked for me was just using a password manager plus a random phrase I made up that's dumb but only makes sense to me. Like "bluecouchpizzafrog" or something random like that. Way easier than trying to remember a bunch of symbols and numbers.
