Hit 1000 unique passwords in my password manager and it freaked me out
I was just cleaning up my password manager last night and noticed I've got exactly 1,047 saved logins. That number hit me pretty hard because I never realized how many accounts I actually have. Most of them are for random forums, old streaming trials, and work logins from jobs I left years ago. The scary part is I bet at least 200 of those have weak or reused passwords from before I got serious about security. I spent two hours going through and updating the worst ones with strong generated passwords and 2FA where it was available. Now I'm wondering how many other people have thousands of accounts floating around that they just forget about. Has anyone else checked their password manager count and been shocked by how many logins they actually have?

Have you ever noticed how everything in life just piles up if you don't actively manage it? Same thing happens with my closet, my email inbox, even the apps on my phone. I have like 20 apps I downloaded once and never opened again. Your password manager is just a digital version of that same junk drawer we all have in our kitchen. It's wild how easy it is to lose track of stuff when you're not looking at it regularly.

Does anyone else find themselves signing up for a new account for something random (like a discount or a free trial) and then just letting that password float around in your head for months before you finally throw it in the manager? I totally get what you mean about the junk drawer thing though. I've got a whole folder in my password vault called "Old Stuff I Swear I'll Delete" that's basically a digital graveyard for accounts I made for random forums back in 2012. It's like my brain just goes "oh cool, another thing to ignore" and then I forget about it until I get some weird email from a site I don't even remember visiting. Honestly, the only reason I ever clean mine out is when I'm bored on a Sunday afternoon and start poking around in there like it's a time capsule of my worst decisions.
