Got phished by a fake Netflix email last Tuesday and I still feel stupid

Last Tuesday afternoon I got an email saying my Netflix account was on hold and I needed to update my payment info right away, so I clicked the link without even looking at the sender address (big mistake). Turns out it was a fake login page that stole my credentials, and by the time I realized it I was locked out of my actual account for 4 hours. Has anyone else almost paid their "credit card bill" through one of these scams?

Respectfully, I get why you feel dumb but honestly this stuff is designed to trick anyone. The scammers copy those emails perfectly and most people would click without thinking. You caught it fast and locked things down, that's the win here.

Yeah exactly, I just read an article about how these phishing emails are getting way better at fooling people. They use the same logos and even copy the exact wording from real companies now. It's scary how realistic they look, like literally anyone could fall for it if they're not paying attention. The fact that you caught it and acted fast is what matters, most people don't even realize until it's too late. So don't beat yourself up, you did good.
